This is a computer basics course offered by the Literacy Volunteers of Broome and Tioga counties.

Classes are intended for individuals with little or no computer experience. Lessons are customized to each group of students. Groups consist of 5 students or less. Topics can include:

  • Basic computer equipment, vocabulary, and usage 
  • Windows desktop and files 
  • Internet usage 
  • Email accounts
  • Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • Online tasks like signing up for accounts or submitting applications

Walk-ins welcome. After registration you may be scheduled to begin at a later date. You can also register with the Literacy Volunteers of Broome-Tioga Counties, Inc. by calling (607) 778-6406 or emailing tel.lvbtc@gmail.com. They will meet with you for a short assessment interview and schedule you for the next available group.
