Adult Art Workshop: Celebrate Black History Month

Join us for an art workshop where we will create a collage in the style of Howardena Pindell! No registration required. This art workshop is for ages 16 and up.

Howardena Pindell's work explores texture, color, structures, and the process of making art; it is often political, addressing the intersecting issues of racism and feminism. She has created abstract paintings, collages, "video drawings," and "process art" and has exhibited around the world. Starting in 1967, she worked at the Museum of Modern Art as a curator for 12 years. In 1979, she began teaching at the State University of New York, Stony Brook, where she is a full professor.
